Candle care
With the right care, you can extend the life of your candle and ensure the best possible burning experience.
How to care for your candle
- Trim the wick — Before each use, trim the wick to a length of about 5 mm. This will prevent smoking and ensure an even burn.
- First lighting — When lighting the candle for the first time, let it burn until the entire top surface of the wax has melted. This will prevent a tunnel from forming.
- Protect from draughts — Place the candle away from draughts. Air currents cause uneven burning and smoking.
- Burning time — Do not let the candle burn for more than 4 hours at a time. After extinguishing, allow it to cool before lighting again.
- Safety — Never leave a burning candle unattended. Place it on a stable, non-flammable surface out of reach of children and pets.
- Extinguishing — Do not blow out the candle — use a snuffer or a lid. This will prevent wax splatter and smoke.
Why natural wax?
- Soy wax — Made from soya beans. It burns cleanly, more slowly than paraffin, and produces less soot. It is easy to clean with soap and water.
- Coconut wax — A luxurious natural wax with a creamy appearance. It releases fragrance perfectly even in smaller spaces and burns slowly.
- Blended wax — A carefully balanced mix of natural waxes. It combines a beautiful candle appearance, a long burn time and an even release of fragrance.
- Palm wax — Creates unique crystalline patterns on the surface of the candle, making each one an original. Burns evenly and for a long time.
